Nationality Tags

Description

“Nationality” refers to a character or actor’s country of citizenship, primary residence, or origin.

Every character needs at least one supertag. Tag nationalities for both the character and the actor.

Tag Values

Supertags:

• tag the ISO-3 country code

• nonextant nation

• unknown

• world x

Secondary tags:

• specific instances of world x (e.g. “Alderaan” or “Vulcan”) or nonextant nation (e.g. “Ancient Rome”)

Notes

“Unknown” supertag refers to situations in which the nationality/origin/citizenship of a character is not specified.

“World x” supertag is used primarily for science fiction and fantasy works in which present-day earth geopolitics (and hence nations as we understand them) do not apply.

“Nonextant nation” is used for historical regions that do not cleanly map out onto modern day nations.
